Local Veteran to be Honored with a Parade at Berlin Intermediate on Saturday.

On June 1st, Morris Semiatin, a 97-year-old World War II veteran, and his son Ben celebrated their 100th restaurant visit together since November of 2020. The Ocean City COOLEST Facebook page has documented all of their restaurant exploits, including their favorite meals and menus, which has earned them local fame. After their fine dining dinner, Morris will be honored with a parade on June 3rd at the Berlin Intermediate School’s parking lot. The parade will be a tribute to his service and legacy, featuring the Color Guard, American Legion Post #166 riders, Hogs and Heroes, and a group of Marines from all across the East Coast.

The parade promises to be a grand affair, with the Berlin Police Department helping control traffic for the event. So, all are welcome to come and see the parade, but Ben encourages everyone attending to bring an American flag or a Marine flag to wave, except balloons. This community-wide celebration shows how much love and respect Morris has earned from his fellow citizens.
