>> Jesse: DEMOCRATS LOVE TALKING ABOUT EQUITY BUT IT TURNS OUT SOCIALIST BERNIE SANDERS ISN’T EVEN SURE WHAT IT MEANS. >> HOW WOULD YOU DIFFERENTIATE BETWEEN EQUITY AND EQUALITY? >> EQUALITY, WE TALK ABOUT, I DON’T KNOW THE ANSWER TO THAT IS. EQUALITY IS EQUALITY OF OPPORTUNITY. >> EQUITY IS MORE GUARANTEE OF

OUTCOME, IS IT NOT? >> I THINK SO. >> WHICH SIDE DO YOU COME DOWN ON? >> EQUALITY. >> Jesse: WHAT A DEEP THINKER, DANA. >> Dana: UNMASKED. I REMEMBER DISTINCTLY GREG MAKING THAT DISTINCTION YEARS AGO AND ALL OF THIS STARTED AND THAT’S WHAT HELP ME MAKE SURE THAT I ALWAYS KNEW THE DIFFERENCE.

PUT ON THE SPOT, WHAT I HAVE TO THINK ABOUT IT? MAYBE. EQUITY IS A WORD YOU HEAR ALL THE TIME. IT IS SO INGRAINED IN OUR SOCIETY THAT EVEN JOE BIDEN, THE PRESIDENT, HAS ISSUED AN EXECUTIVE ORDER MAKING SURE THAT THERE WOULD BE EQUITY ACROSS THE ENTIRE GOVERNMENT.

NOW PEOPLE ARE PUSHING BACK ON IT, THEY DON’T WANT TO NECESSARILY AND IT TURNS OUT, GUESS WHAT, BERNIE SANDERS DOESN’T WANT IT EITHER. >> Jesse: JOE WAS COMING INTO OFFICE AND THEY HANDED HIM A BUNCH OF PAPERS AND HE WAS JUST SIGNING THINGS. HE HAD NO IDEA WHAT HE WAS SIGNING.

>> Greg: A COUPLE WEEKS AGO. THE CONFUSION IS INTENTIONAL. THEY WANT TO — I THINK I SAID, I DON’T REMEMBER, THEY WANT TO REPLACE THE WORD EQUALITY WITH EQUITY. BUT INEQUALITY, EVERYBODY HAS THE OPPORTUNITY FROM BELOW TO XL SO THE STARTING BLOCKS ARE THE SAME. EQUITY REQUIRES EVERYONE FINISH THE SAME.

WHICH MEANS THERE HAS TO BE FORCED FROM ABOVE TO KEEP EVERYBODY DOWN WHICH IS ABSOLUTE FASCISM. THIS ISN’T A SUBTLE DISTINCTION. IT’S THE MOST IMPORTANT DISTINCTION. THE ONLY WAY TO UNITE PEOPLE IS EQUALITY. THE ONLY WAY TO DIVIDE PEOPLE, EQUITY. THAT’S WHY YOU SEE EQUITY BEING FAVORED BY PEOPLE IN POWER

BECAUSE IT KEEPS US DIVIDED! >> Jesse: JUDGE JEANINE. >> Judge Jeanine: I DON’T KNOW WHETHER TO CONGRATULATE HIM OR PITY HIM. CONGRATULATE HIM BECAUSE HE CAME AROUND OR PITY HIM BECAUSE EITHER HE DOESN’T REMEMBER OR HE’S A LIAR. THAT’S ALL I HAVE TO SAY. THAT’S SCARY, THE WHOLE THING WAS SCARY.

EVERYBODY KNOWS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN EQUALITY AND EQUITY, EVERYBODY. >> Greg: I DON’T THINK SO. >> Jessica: I DON’T THINK SO EITHER. >> Judge Jeanine: HOW COULD HE NOT KNOW? >> Jessica: HE DOESN’T THINK ABOUT DEFINING IT. HE HAS A NEW BOOK THAT TALKS ABOUT THE ISSUES BUT EQUALITY

HAS BEEN WIPED OUT OF THE DISCUSSION. EVERYTHING IS ABOUT EQUITY BECAUSE IT INVOLVES EXTRA RESOURCES GOING TO BE ABLE HAVE DIFFERENT CIRCUMSTANCES. >> Greg: BY FORCE. >> Jessica: ALSO THE KINDNESS OF PEOPLE’S HEARTS. I WILL SAY — I’M NOT A HUGE BERNIE SANDERS FAN BECAUSE OF WHAT HAPPENED IN THE 2016 PRIMARIES.

SHOULD HAVE DROPPED OUT EARLIER. I THOUGHT HE WAS VERY CHARMING AND HIS BILL MAHER INTERVIEW. SO CALM AND TRUE TO HIMSELF. >> Greg: THAT’S WHY HE’S POPULAR. >> Jessica: AND WHY YOUNG PEOPLE LOVE THIS 81-YEAR-OLD. >> Jesse: I HAVE NEVER HEARD A POLITICIAN SAY “I DON’T KNOW.”

  1. Equality (in the political sense) is defined by Art. 1-30 of the UDHR (Universal Declaration of Human Rights),
adopted by the United Nations at a meeting held in Paris (June 10, 1048), and ratified by all the signatories
to the U.N. Charter, including the USA. Equity is the method or process by which equality is achieved and
maintained, be it adjustments in pay scales, reparations, or any forms of compensation for past injustices,
as well as rules or procedures that prohibit future occurrences. Equity is a means to an end; equality is
the underlying principle governing the use (or application) of equity to any given case, or class of cases.
That is true, not just in a court of law or an international tribunal, but in everyday life, all over the world.
It's that simple. Then why is everyone so confused? Several reasons: (a) the term 'equality' has several
meanings (e.g., "two plus two equals four") which have little or nothing to do with political equality–that
is, rights and privileges granted to every human being on Earth, according to the UDHR, the first draft of
which was authored by Eleanor Roosevelt, as Chair of the Committee responsible for the Declaration,
which was modeled (in part) on the Declaration of Independence (1776). (b) the Latin 'aequus' is the
common root of (e.g.) equality, equity, equivalence, and many other English words, which leads us to
think that they are all interchangeable (c) failure to look up the word in the dictionary, and to trace its
history as a concept, dating back to antiquity (d) deliberate attempts to create misunderstandings in
order to mislead others and inflame passions. Thus, when Mr. Gutfield says that "equality unites us"
but "equity divides us" he utters a half-truth, while creating a false dichotomy. Add to that the notion
that equity is "forced" (and therefore, "fascism") is both a non sequitur and an appeal to fear–in short,
two textbook fallacies, back-to-back. The truth is, equity is the logical extension of equality, in much
the same way that returning to shore is the logical extension of going on a boat ride, Neither one is
complete, or has a point, unless that is done, and can be repeated without incurring gratuitous risks.
As for what equality itself comprises, I urge everyone to pay particular attention to UDHR Art. 22-29.
Those are precisely the items that are often mislabeled, either as equity or as "equality of outcomes,"

as Mr. Maher does at the outset of the debate. Far from being "outcomes," they are intrinsic to the
meaning of equality itself–as the world recognized, three quarters of a century ago, largely inspired
by the American precedent, and the ideals that the Framers espoused, at least on paper. Our own
failure to understand this is both ironic and tragic. It is also hypocritical, if not willfully ignorant.
At least Sen. Sanders admits his ignorance. That doesn't make him Socratic, but it is a step in
the right direction. Whereas, the panelists on Fox News need schooling, both in theory and in
practice, and in the proper use of words–especially terms that are question-begging or loaded.
That has no place in journalism, other than to warn us against itself. Beware the demagogue.
When ignorance and arrogance unite, nothing equals the outcome, except the ultimate divide.

  2. Pay equity – IXNAY, OHNAY, AMSCRAY!!!
Racial equity is racist hate speech because equity isn't for white people.
    Wink wink, nudge nudge.

Just CRT pretending to be respectable.

    Racism in not respectable.

  3. Does Jessica make anyone else’s skin crawl or is that just me. So fake and so full of bs it’s ridiculous. At least with Geraldo he has some good points every now and then.

  4. In Bernie Sanders' entire senatorial career he has created three (3) bills that were passed. I forget what the third was about but the other two (2) were naming post offices. WOW what a political force!

  5. And these people been running around the White House for how many decades and. They want to be the.. present the run.. oh I meant the president of the United States of America

  6. They really need to teach these things on school . If you do not know then you can’t know how the terms are being used .
They could be used in any way those with the authority to induce them chooses .
Language is a imperfect science and many of them needed to be created to convey the same thing .

  7. 😂 “Equity is what I have in my three homes, equality is renting them all out at the highest prevailing rate to my poor Democrat constituents.” – Bernie Sanders
